I went to the New Museum this morning (right below Houston on Bowery in case you were wondering). They have one of the most interactive exhibits I’ve been to yet. I suggest you go and take a try. I only rode the slide and the carousal, but if you have the time I suggest you get a pair of upside goggles or go in the deprivation chamber.

Modern Life: Edward Hopper and His Time @ The Whitney

Includes approximately 80 works in a range of media by Hopper and artists such as John Sloan, Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, Paul Strand, Charles Demuth, Guy Pène du Bois, Charles Sheeler, Charles Burchfield, Ben Shahn, Reginald Marsh

The Whitney never does retrospectives of single artists. I feel like they’re the little brother of the NYC museums, only getting the hand-me-down paintings and doing the best with what they get.

I still have bottles of India Ink from the comic illustration class I took in undergrad. This stuff is a lot of fun, I should definitely bust some out soon.
