My whole house reaks of mushrooms.

This is what Polish Christmas smells like. Right now we’re boiling dried mushrooms we picked in the fall. These will go into gulombpki, pierogi (for red borsch) and gravy.  Does anyone else celebrate a meatless Christmas Eve?

Pierogies
Dough, stuffed with mashed potatoes and cheese and stuff. Usually either fried in butter and onions, or deep fried, then covered in butter.
I’m a deep-fry man. I like the texture better.

Bitch please. The best pierogies can be found in Greenpoint!

The best pierogis can be found in my hands when I’m making them.
