Submitting a short story to an NPR contest, want to look good for my impending wedding with Ira Glass. The rules are that there has to be a joke (told by a character) and a character has to cry also.

I have a small love affair with all things NPR. I’m in no way a writer by any means but I am friends with many. Hopefully someone will submit and win this contest and bring me to NPR headquarters so I can seduce Ira and Peter.
